I have my own collection of silver dollars. I know my collection will never come near the value of this one coin.
7.85 million dollars. The silver dollar was minted in 1794. It is in perfect condition for it’s 216 years of age. This was also the first year that silver dollars were produced.
According to a professional coin evaluator, even it it had been run over by a truck it would have still be worth a hundred grand. So maybe I still have some hope or my great great grandchildren do. Mine are 1922 minted coins.
A coin that has held the record for sale price of 7.59 million dollars was a $20 gold coin that had a mint date of 1933.
This goes to show that saving coins can pay.
