Hero Fashion Show
In Manila, Philippines a charity event was organized with purpose of promoting animal welfare and raising funds for charity. Animal owners and their adorable dogs were dressed up like action heroes and they participated in fashion show so they could show their heroic side. Inspiration for costumes wasn’t missing considering this year’s movie The Avengers where the famous super heroes were also gathered to save the world from the disaster. Costumes of Captain America and Supermen were dominating on the runway, and one miniature puppy even got his wings – as the part of the costume of course.
Big Heart Of Small Avengers
Even though they did not save the world from disaster and they haven’t stopped further spreading of animal cruelty, this animals have helped in achieving big success of this event that gathered thousands of participants, with their devoted and brave posing in action costumes. Just like the heroes from the movie, this animals are also some kind of heroes that have worn this costumes with full right, for the needs of saving the less fortunate animals. In the words of organizer Beverly Ongson „real super hero powers aren’t necessary to be our hero“, so it wasn’t important that the owners and their dogs didn’t have real powers, nor it mattered which action hero costume they wore, but it mattered the good will and the intention they had when participated the fashion show.
Sense Of Animal Avengers
Animal Avengers is the name of the non profit organization, dedicated in saving animals and giving them housing and health care, promoting responsible animal guardianship and stopping the animal cruelty. They believe that through educating the community on animal safety, responsible pet care, rescue, spaying and neutering pets, advocating for their rights and working with local organizations, they can make a difference in the lives of these cherished creatures. Considering the rising number of abandoned and abused animals in the world and in our country, we would like for this organization to achieve great success and becomes a model to other organizations of this kind.
