How to cook a squirrel
You can bake a squirrel dipping pieces of it in seasoned flour then placing it on a pan in the oven. Or you can cut the meat up and make a type of soup out of it. Then there is a squirrel and gravy dish sort of like beef and gravy. There are many ways of cooking squirrel. I figure dipping it in flour and frying it to be another option. I have never cooked or eaten squirrel so I am not really an expert on that.
How not to cook a squirrel
When reading how this guy was trying to cook a squirrel, even I, a person who knew nothing about cooking a squirrel before reading up on it today, knew it was wrong. Do you ever cook anything with a propane torch and on a wooded deck of an apartment building? You can use a propane stove, a propane fired gas grill but not a torch to cook with. That even sounds dangerous to use to light up your grill with.
He only wanted some lunch
The man lives in an apartment complex in Holland Township, Michigan. When he tried cooking the squirrel with a propane torch, he ended up destroying 8 apartments in the process. He was only trying to burn off the squirrels fur, not really cook it through and through.
Flames take out apartments
The flames quickly spread to the other apartments. Fire was burning from the floor boards to the roof. 8 total apartments were destroyed by flames while others were damaged by the smoke from the fire and the water being used to extinguish it. There were 24 apartments on the lower level damaged by smoke and water. I don’t know if the man knew how to cook a squirrel for real or not. I hope he didn’t intend to actually cook the squirrel with the blow torch. As with many stories of this kind, it spread throughout the area and became quite a discussion at many of the local fire stations. Luckily, no residents were harmed in the fire. One fireman did break his toe.
