Fire fighters climbed up a skyscraping tree to rescue an iguana, only to find that it was actually a tree branch covered by algae. The incident happened in Cove, near Farnborough in Hampshire where citizens was a creature, which they thought was a lizard, trapped on top of a 45-feet tree. Animal experts and firefighters were summoned but when they were half-way to the top of the tree they realized that it was just an illusion. “I have never seen anything like it. We take all animal rescues seriously but in this case it was a good intent false alarm,” said Colin Horwood, animal rescue advisor for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
