China's Auto Stimulus Package Outspends D.C

Due to a slow U.S. market, Chinese have bought more cars than US citizens have, mostly German-made or Korean.
In order to get it's populace on the road, China is offering big money to farmers to buy small trucks instead of tractors.

Beijing has also cut the tax levied on new car purchases in half: 5% down from 10.
Ford Motors has cashed in with 4,000 preorders of the 1.5L Fiesta just released on the Chinese market. Also just in: Ford's stock priced has more than doubled.

Beijing is offering taxi companies subsidies to up grade their fleets.
Now the "CHERY" Auto Company, an up-coming, in-country firm has increased sales 25% for January-February 2009.
