The oldest resident of Tokyo, a 111 year old man, may have actually died 30 years ago.

A lady, is now said to be Tokyo’s oldest living resident, she’s 113, cannot be located.

The mans demise was discovered last week. There were remains of a deceased person, that had actually dried up  discovered. After checking out the corpse, it was found to be the remains of a man thought to be still living and 111. He had been dead for 30 years.

Japan is having trouble with locating all their older generation of people.

“It is important for authorities to grasp the reality of where and how old people are living,” Health Minister Akira Nagatsuma told reporters.

Japan holds the record for having the longest life expectancy in the world for women. They supposedly have 41,000 people who are over a century old.

The problem now is, there are so many of these century old folks missing. No one knows where they are.

Not even their own families have knowledge of where they are.

With the man recently found dead for 30 years, the police are investigating the case.
