Problems With Customer Service

How many times have you called a customer service of some company to submit your complaint or request a advice that will help you to solve your problems, and they just put you on hold? You probably get annoyed just thinking about the moment that you will have to call a customer service and hear that mechanical voice saying: “Please hold for the next available representative. Someone will be with your as soon as possible.”, after which a particularly annoying song always starts that you can’t get out of your head whole day. After how much time you give up from waiting for operator to answers the call?

15 Hours Of Waiting

No matter how much time you decided to wait, we are confident that you would give up even before the half of time Andrew Kahn managed to wait during his call to Customer Service of company Qantas Airways passes. Andrew Kahn, marketing executive called Qantas Airways just to confirm his flight from the Adelaide in Australia to New York City but he failed to do it because he was put on hold for a long 15 hours, 40 minutes and 1 second. Andrew says he didn’t hang up in the beginning because he did not want to lose his turn in the waiting queue, but after a few hours he decided to continue because he was curious about what they exactly meant by “Representative will be at the phone as soon as possible.”

Reaction Of Qantas Airways

A spokesman for the company Qantas Airways said they were investigating how that happened and claim that if Andrew can prove that he was really on the hold for 15 hours they will compensate him for the call worth 852 dolars. They have apologized to Andrew and he even got the upgrade of his flight, but he is still not sure that they are really sorry. Would you forgive them?
