Man who got trapped under a sofa lived solely on whisky for over 60 hours until he was rescued.
Joe Galliott, 65 was home Tuesday evening when there was a power cut in his neighborhood.
It was very dark in the house. Joe was searching for some candles to shed some light in the house and accidentally fell on the three seater sofa, which toppled on him.
Being an elderly man Joe wasn’t able to lift the heavy sofa off his back. After a series of failed trials he rest against the floor, then he found a bottle of whisky lying by near the sofa. He grabbed hold of it in thought of helping himself with something.
Then he din’t know that it is going to keep him alive for more than 50 hours. He confessed saying that it was feeling like an eternity beneath the sofa without even knowing if there will be help anytime.
It was after his neighbor observed him through the curtains is when anyone knew that poor Joe was in trouble.
But he is very thankful for the bottle of whisky which kept him alive all the time.
