A US woman did not pay fines for her two library books, and the last thing she expected was to be arrest for that! 20-year old Heidi Dalibor of Wisconsin was shocked when police paid her a visit one day and handcuffed her, flashing out a warrant for arrest during the process. But the problem was, it happened just because she ignored calls and letters from the library which demanded her to pay the fine. Director of the library John Hanson explained that there had been many people who were charged for not paying fines or returning the books. It only took £15 to settle the fines, but eventually it cost her mother £85 to bail her out. Source: Ananova
