if you happen to be a thief breaking into a store, what would you steal from there, money or dogfood? Two teenagers from Ipswich chose dogfood.
Chrystopher-Lee Schaeffer, 21, and his 16-year-old friend were caught intruding a newsagency in North Ipswich on July 23rd. The two were in slumber under a dog blanket after enjoying a sumptious dog meal when the shop owner reported the break-in to the police. The officers arrived shortly only to find the crooks on the roof sleeping, while their surroundings were shattered magazines, drinks and most amusingly, the famous dog food "Schmackos".
The crooks were summoned to Ipswich court on July 23, where they Schaeffer was pleaded guilty for illegally entering the store and was sentenced to 50 hours of community service. Schaeffer's lawyer, Solicitor Matthew Fairclough said, smiling, that he was not sure why his client opted for dog food instead of other more valuable items. Perhaps they wanted to experience the feeling of being dogs, but were too ashamed to try it at home.....
