Taylor Hicks returns on March 10th with new album, "The Distance", a follow up of his new single release. Season 5 winner of the "American Idol" show, it looks like Hicks has been busy. The album is following a new single that will released on January 27th "What's Right Is Right". His new single is being released on his own Modern Whomp Records and will be distributed from the Artist to Market an independent artist service. Hicks has Eric Claptons producer Simon Climie for "The Distance" and Claptons associates Doyle Bramhall and Nathan East are playing on the album. Then he also has Paul McCartney's drummer, Abe Laboriel Jr. Apparently Hicks left J Records following his 2006 single which sold 703,000 copies in the United States according to the Nielsen Sound Scan.
