A man admiring the sunset on the North Sea climbed over the thick ice to get a picture of it. He was located close to the town of St. Peter-Ording. He climbed over the ice from the coastal area and then became confused as to how to get back and darkness was setting in.
Luckily, a lady in the Northern parts of Germany, hundreds of miles away, had her webcam on and was admiring the same sunset.
The man did a very smart move which the lady saw on her webcam. He used his camera flash to hoping for someone to see it.
The lady did. As she was watching the beautiful sunset on her computer at her home, she saw the flashing lights and knew there was a problem. She let the police know what she was seeing.
The police then found the man also by his flashing light. They then started flashing the lights on their automobiles to help him find his was back to the coast line.
If he had not been found, he would have froze to death or could have easily fell through the ice.
Tourists are drawn to these sunsets and it's alwasy a risk as it is getting dark and they could get lost.
A teacher of science was trying to take the head of a dead seal he had found on the beach in Boston back home with him to use it in studies.
He said the seal was already dead, and he simply cut off it's head and put it into a cooler to take back home with him.
As he started to get onto a plane in Boston at the Logan Airport, security officers checked the small canvas ice chest that was his. Inside they found the seals head.
The man was held and examined by federal and state officers. After they were finished with their questioning of the man, he was permitted to get on the plane, but the seals head remained behind. It is being held by investigators that work at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Fisheries Office for Law Enforcement.
The teacher could be facing accusations under the Protection Act for Marine Mammals. He could be penalized up to $12,000 for a civil fine there. Then he could face up to another $20,000 penalty for criminal fines and a possible jail term of a year.
What a strange site to see on a subway, but it was New York.
Kylie Kaiser witnessed and took videos of a man on a subway train traveling though New York. He was lying on the subway train floor holding a chicken.
The man appeared to be homeless. He had some of the everyday looks and things of a homeless person. His grocery cart with cans in it sat near him on the train.
He was being very affectionate to the chicken. Giving it hugs and kisses and playing with it. He was so absorbed in what he was doing, that he didn't even notice there were other people around him.
Kylie took her pictures and video and placed them on her internet blog soon after the ride.
The subway rules are that no loose animals should be on the train or they must be a service animal. No people appeared to be upset enough by this incident to report the homeless man.
In Chillaton located in Devon, a lady, thought to be in her 70's, drove her blue Vauxhall Corsa right through the back side of her garage on Monday Jan 25th.
It is thought that she pressed the gas thinking she was pushing the brake pedal.
She went through the wall and plunged downward into a water way that runs behind her house.
The lady was rather lucky she didn't obtain severe injuries from the accident. She actually was able to get out of the car and was found in the water way by police. She was very cold and had some small-scale leg wounds.
She is recovering at the Derriford Hospital located in Plymouth and is considered to be in stable condition.
Next time, remember the brake in on the left side.

It's a dating website. Beautiful People is it's name. After the holidays, they decided that 5000 of their members were too fat to be a part of the site. They kicked them off. The site defended itself reporting that members were posting pictures of themselves enjoying the holidays and it was very noticeable they had put on a few pounds.
Apparently there must have been some complaining from other members. The first step the site took was to move overweight members to the starting stage of the site where they are reviewed. It's like beginning the whole process all over. The only problem was, instead of accepting these members as before, they rejected them.
Most of these rejected members come from the United States and Canada. There was still about 900 from Britian.
The site claims the people in the US tend to pig out over the holidays that start in November and go through the first of the year. It definitly can cause chaos with their looks.
The site did let the members know of work out places they could attend to help them work off their holiday pounds.
You do need to remember that there are people who like a person with a little extra weight.

Gabrielle Shaink Trudeau, 78 years of age, was found driving with a suspended drivers license. She was in incarcerated for 15 long days. She even got to spend Thanksgiving in jail instead of with her family.
Back in September, she was checked out by police for going to slow. She was then handed a ticket for driving with either a suspended license or a revoked one. When her appointment to appear in court came up, she didn't show up. The judge then signed a warrant for her arrest that could either cost her $1,000 or possibly a year in jail.
After acquiring her ticket, she received a notice from the Dept of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles stating that her license was reinstated, that she could drive again. The problem was, Gabriells notice was on a prior ticket, not the present one.
As a result of her not showing up in for her hearing, the police turned up on her front step and arrested her. She was very upset and said, "they came on real strong, like I had killed somebody or something.''
At her first appearance in court, she had no public defender. Then the assistant to the public defender failed to make contact with her. After all that, they found that the pretrial services division had noted that Trudeau could have been discharged on her own recognisance. They did not let the judge know of that find.
15 days after her apprehension, the prosecutors discharged the charges.
She had a final hearing on Dec 2nd. The judge described her as being treated like a violent felon. The judge wanted her discharged. She had chains girding her waiste, her hands cuffed in front of her. She had the visual aspect of Houdinin according to the judge who said,"I want her released. I think she's suffered enough at our system's mistakes.''
