That is definitly not a gift I have on my want list. I would really think it takes a person that is very ambitious at getting out of their marriage to even go for it.
A law practice in London, Lloyd Platt & Co has been selling coupons for a 1/2 hour session talking to a divorce attorney. The coupons are being sold for 125 pounds which is just a tiny part of the 325 pounds it usually goes for.
There has been quite a turn out to purchase the coupons. Vanessa Lloyd Platt, the attorney who started the practice feels that the coupons must fit many peoples needs."They seem to appeal to an enormously widespread spectrum of people looking for that 'must have' gift for Christmas," she said.
Now the Church doesn't quite agree with it. A member of the Church of England stated,"Divorce is a very personal matter and not really suitable for the idea of gift vouchers which are presents from other people."
It is expected that the coupons will continue to be highly in demand.
Christmas tends to be a time of stress for many instead of happy and the need for the time with the attorneys could be something many may need.
Protesters rolled out on their bikes in New York to dispute the removal of a bike lane on Bedford Ave.
They feel that the lane was removed due the conflicting views of the Jewish people in the area who don't like the way the outsiders ride through the neighbor hood in shorts and scanty tops.
The residents, many which are members of the Satmar group of Judaism, do not practise allowing women to wear scanty clothing. No bear legs permitted.
The women living in the area have to be attired in big skirts and long sleeve shirts. No skin is seen. Even the men wear the heavy jackets and hats. It doesn't matter if it's hot or not.
It seems the rabbis are trying to keep their members in the 18th century.
Since Saturday was snowy and very cold, the bikers did not go out topless as they had intended to do. The did adorn bare boobs to their shirts to show their protest as they rode the streets.
Members of the community hurried home from church when seeing the spectacle .
There are many reasons the New Yorkers want the bike lane to remain. Traffic is rather heavy and bikes can move along easily. There are many that do deliveries on their bikes and need to get them done as quickly as possible. Removing the bike lane puts them out into the traffic and prone to injuries.

Ryan Laim Upton, a 28 year old man, pulled a stunt on his friend Ben Ferrett at a party they were both attending.
Ben, 27 years of age, apparently fell to sleep while the celebrating was still going on. Ryan, intoxicated and not thinking straight, decided to pour some super glue into Bens ear.
Ben has as a result of the super glue, developed a loss of hearing in that ear.
The stunt proved to be costly for both Ryan and Ben. For Ben, he will never have his hearing completely return in that ear. For Ryan, he was told by the Brisbane District Court Judge Terry Martin to pay Ben $8000.
The book "Facts I Ought to Know about the Government of My Country" was over due by 99 years. Almost a century late being returned. The fine for being that late was actually calculated to be $361.35. That is one big fine.
The book was found by Stanley Dudek. His mother had died close to 10 years ago and he was looking through some of her belongings when he came across the book. Being an honest citizen, he returned the book to the library.
Back when the book was due, in 1910, the fine would have only been one cent a day. Luckily, Stanley wasn't asked to pay the fine.
The New Bedford Public Library located in Massachusetts was happy to get the book back and plans on putting it into a exceptional accumulation of books.
Last week, as the Salvation Army was collecting loose change in Torrington Connecticut some one either made a big mistake or was very generous.
It was the end of the day and the money was being counted. There was a problem with the machine that counted the coins. It wouldn't count one.
They checked out the coin and found it had half an eagle on it. It was a gold coin worth about five dollars and was in use between the years 1795 and 1929.
The coin will be taken to an appraiser to find out it's true value. As of now, they are giving it a value of somewhere between $250 and $400.
This coin was dropped in the kettle the day after Thanksgiving. Black friday as it is called.
Wayne Springs, from Louisiana is a New Orleans Saints fan, but enough is enough. He wanted to make a bet and the winning team was not the Saints, but their opponent.
He told his friends that is the Saints so happened to win, which I am sure he never expected them to, that his friends could come over and put bullets in his TV. It's not that he doesn't have a nice TV either. He has a HD flat screen that is 60 inches wide. That is a nice TV.
Well, as you most likely have guessed by now, the Saints did win. No sooner was the score final after going into overtime, the phone started ringing and friends were showing up.
Spring set his set up outside, the friends brought their own weapons with them and the set was shot full of holes.
It never fails, a young boy has to be rescued because he sticks his tongue to a freezing cold pole.
What is it the compells these boys to do this. I remember the scene in a movie I watched about a year ago, it was called"The Christmas Story". The little boy, his age was about ten, sticks his tongue on the metal flag pole. He is stuck there trying to talk and pull his tongue away.
Every year there are stories of young boys and their tongues being stuck. Firemen come to the rescue and use warm water to loosen the tongue.
They are not usually seriously hurt, more embarressed then anything.
Boys, please be aware. Girls too. If you stick you tongue to a cold metal pole, it will stick. They do havve a nonstick teflon pole out now. They are a real tongue saver.
Researchers in Singapore have questioned 39 people about smoking cigarettes. They were all cigarette smokers.
When questioned on the warning about cigarette smoking could cause them to die of cancer, it didn't seem to bother them enough to make them want to quit smoking. Most people feel, they are going to die sooner or later. Who is to say that they will for sure die because they are smokers.
Another approach to smoking, it's not an attractive thing to do, seemed to make more of an impression on the smokers. Many people smoke because it's the in thing with the crowd, but if it's not really the popular thing to do, many may quit.
Now maybe that is what should be the warning on the cigarette package. Maybe smoking causes premature aging. Who wants to grow old faster then they would if not smoking?
What would make you quit smoking if you are a smoker? Knowing that you are making yourself not so attractive to others, or the fear of dieing?
