In Wichita Kansas, a pregnant women used her disposition of being pregnant and in need of help to worm her way into homes of people who were willing to help her out.
She told them her car was disabled and she needed to use a phone.
The nice citizens would allow her to enter their homes to use their phone. What they didn't know was that while she was out of site, she was helping herself to their money.
She is suppose to have done this at 3 different homes in the area.
The lady is 8 months into her pregnancy and would really appear helpless if knocking at the door asking for help.
She is being questioned about some similiar cases of homes being robbed in Goddard and Maize.
The lady has been apprehended as of Thursday night.
On Sunday night, people going by Zachary Frye hitch hiking decided to call 911 in Marion County. He was using a flashlight to draw attention to himself and get a ride.
When the officers pulled up along side him, he said his motor bike had broken down and he needed help.
The officer told Frye they could help him out with a ride, but he would have to under go a check over as a precaution.
That wasn't really a good thing for Frye.
In his trousers they found a small container of weed. Then in his carrier they also found possibly 8 more packages. Also in the carrier was an assorted group of items used for measuring and inhaling weed.
A forensic science grad arrested a care assistant stealing from her sick grandma on the assist of a hidden camera inside of teddy bear. Emma Sampson, 21, begin to arrest the stealer after her grandma, 75-year-old Thelma Sampson, discovered that money was dropping from her house in Walton, Liverpool, England.
The forensic science grad smartly arranged her skill to figure out and called in the assist of teddy bear and a hidden camera. Emma and her dad Robert prepared the scheme after his mummy Thelma, who has final stage of leukemia; found that £40 had gone from her handbag.
While called by her family whether she was sure enough about the dropping money, Thelma assured them: "I might be dying out but I recognized how much money I got in my own handbag." The family then made up their mind to get down the serial numbers on 3 £20 notes in the handbag and buy a hidden camera from a local DIY shop.
As the optical lens was just similar with the eye of the teddy bear, Emma put the hidden camera inside the cuddle toy and the family held back. For sure the plan did work and Thelma's carer Yvonne Allen, 28, of Halewood, Liverpool, was discovered on shoot to be the stealer. The footage was revealed to the police and Allen was caught.
The fantastic role took on by the hidden camera in the teddy's eye was discovered while the greedy Allen was haled before the courts and imprisoned for 6 months on 2 counts of thievery. 75-year-old Mrs Sampson then has a modern care assistant.
Calvin Hoover called 911 service and told them that a person had entered his truck and stole his Carhatt coat, $400 cash and his weed that weighed less then an ounce.
He was very upset. He said he was at the Free Loader Tavern in Salem.
Officers went to the bar and to where Calvin lives, but he was not there.
Approximately 60 minutes later, he calls 911 again. He is still angry and feels that the police are not trying hard enough to find his missing items. He is driving his truck at the time. The 911 dispatcher had a hard time interpreting Calvin. He had to stop the truck to throw up several times.
Finally the officers located his truck, but Calvin was not in it at the time. It was located in the southeast area of Salem. Then they saw him walking approximately a hundred feet from his truck. He told the officers he was still trying to find who had taken his marijuana.
Calvin was held on charges of DUI and transported to the Marion Co. Jailhouse.
The officers did take note of the stolen items and gave Calvin a warning. Since he does not have a medical card to allow him to carry weed, that calling the police about the theft may not have been smart. He was lucky he wasn't carrying the weed at the time they arrested him or he would have been charged with that also.
How conspicuous can you be. These two men tried to break into an apartment last Friday night. Apparantly they boggled the burglary and were seen by someone either in the apartment or outside. It isn't noted who reported them.
The person who called the police about the attempted break in told the police they had painted faces. He told them there were two mature males who tried to get into a flat. They drove off after failing to break in.
The officers, looking for two men with painted faces, pulled over two adult males who had taken a black permanent marker and colored all over their faces to disguise themselves.
The officers arrested them with guns raised since the suspects were suppose to have weapons. Neither one was found to have a gun with them.
Matthew McNelly who is 23 and Joey Miller who is 20 years of age were apprended and accused with trying to break into the flat.
A man exited a bar in Minnesota driving a La-Z-Boy chair. He was intoxicated. His blood measured out at 0,29 and he hit a parked automobile!
Deninis LeRoy Anderson admitted he was guilty.
No one was badly hurt in the accident. His chair is powered by an old lawnmover that had been made over to work in the chair. His chair also had some real nice extras, music and a holder for his drink.
The judge, Heather Sweetland, suspended the jail time and gave him 2 years probation.
If he can't drive a chair, please don't let him in a car.
This really takes nerve. On the way to be questioned about a shoplifting charge in Berlin, Germany, the 41 year old man decided to pull one more heist.
He and his friend robbed a grocery store as he was heading to the questioning.
The police had very descriptive points of what the two robber looked like and the car they used. They returned to police station and a very unlikely situation.
Sitting in the area waiting for questioning, was a man that fit the description of one of the men who robber the grocery store.
When they went outside the station, they discoverd his friend in the described auto with all the items taken in the robbery. The automobiles license plate matched the one from the robbery and the goods were there.
I guess being accused on one crime wasn't enough. He is now being charged with robbing the store.
Have you ever seen or heard a burglar coming back to victim's house and apologize for the theft and running away? Possibly no! Something similar happened in Central New Jersey, when police arrested a 35 year old man at the doorstep of the victim's house.
It was reported that on Wednesday 35 year old Craig Fletcher was arrested by Rahway Police when someone informed them that burglar is standing at the doorstep of the victim. It was revealed that burglar has returned to victim's place to apologize for breaking into their home and running away.
The homeowner called police when his doorbell rung and Craig was arrested then and there. Craig felt sorry for his deed and ran off but caught by police.
Craig was found guilty of second burglary in the same neighborhood.
The same homeowner had interrupted burglary taken place on June 29. He had chased Craig who was running off with three laptops, Xbox games stuffed in his backpack. He threw the bag on being found out and ran off.
Craig was tried in Union County Jail and charged with $60,000 bail. Central New Jersey cops have no idea whether Craig Fletcher has a lawyer or not.
They were both drunk when they decided to break into a home in the DeKalb Alabama area.
Sherrif Jim Harris noted that the two entered the dwelling at about 2 in the morning on Sunday. They stole keys to owners car, medicines, somewhere around $200 in money and jewelry valued at $100.
As they were finishing up with what they wanted to steal, one of the people living there woke up. The father and son both found a quick place to hide.
When the 37 year old father felt it was safe, he snuck out. His son, 19 years old, had passed out under the owner of the homes bed where he had hidden.
He was found still passed out in the early hours of the morning by the owners wife. She called one of her neighbors and then the police.
The neighbor she called was found to be the boys grandfather. As much as he may have not wanted to, he still handed him over to the officers.
