Shoeless baby feetWe see signs like this as we enter into eating places all over these days. It is considered a health hazzard to be bare foot in many facilities.

It does surpise me that a 6 month old baby girl would be not allowed to get served in a Burger King resaurant in Sunset Hills in St. Louis.

She didn’t have her shoes on, maybe doesn’t even own any yet, but the workers at the Burger King asked her and her mother to leave. It was supposedly a board of health violation. Later it was found that in St. Louis County, the health code violation for being shoeless does not exist.

The company decided that the store had taken the ruling too far. They appologized to the little girls mother who doesn’t want anyone to get into trouble for it.

She hurried and ate her food that day so that she wouldn’t cause anymore problems with her little girl being shoeless.

Workers at the restaurants are having the rules re-explained to them so that next time it won’t be used in the wrong instance.

The franchise has also let the mother, Jennifer Frederich, know how sorry they are for her inconvenience and embarrassment that day. They let met with her to express their regrets.

The apology was received with appreciation by Frederich.

Now I suppose they have to decide on an age guideline for wearing shoes. At least maybe they should be old enough to walk.
