Outside the Police Station

In Vermont, outside the police station, Roger Pion drove up on a tractor and crushed 7 police cars and one car that was an unmarked police car. He just drove his tractor up and over them over and over again making sure they were crushed. The cages, radar detectors, radios everything inside the cars was destroyed. It is estimated that the cost of replacing all he destroyed would be around $250,000. Rene Morris, a witness to the destruction told how it was like a Monster Jam rally.

No One Injured

It’s good that the cars were empty of officers at the time. Hopefully he would not have done this had there been police inside the cars. It could be he waited until a couple of deputies had just washed their cars and walked into the police station. It was shortly after they went inside that he drove the tractor over to the first car and began driving over it. Pion destroyed over half of the rural stations police cars. It’s not known yet if he also damaged all the weapons in the trunks of the cars. They have to pry open the trunks first.

What Was His Motive

Pion drove away before being captured by the police but was later arrested. It’s possible he was not happy about being arrested recently for having some marijuana on him. He at the time resisted arrest. It’s possible that he got the tractor from a family member since he comes from a family of farmers. Now Pion is awaiting court and is staying at the Northern State Correctional Center located in Newport. He has a lot of charges against him many are mischief related, one aggravated assault of a police officer, the actual act of destruction being called negligent operation and he did leave the scene of an accident they say. I don’t agree with that one. It was no accident.
