MarijunaIn Montana, a young teen thought he was texting some one to make a marijuana purchase. He did not know he was texting the Sheriff.

It’s not a good idea to text the sheriff for that type of a request.

The teen from Helena Montana texted the sheriff saying “Hey Dawg, do you have a $20 I can buy right now?”

It went to Lewis and Clark Co Sheriff, Leo Dutton.

After receiving the text, a detective acting like a dealer set up a meeting with the young man and another teen at a store.

The detective saw the two young teen boys and one of the boy’s fathers. The father was with the boys but not aware of the reason they were there.

The detective called the phone at the store 3 times to ensure he had the right person before he presented his badge to the boys.

When the detective showed the young 15 and 16 year old boys his badge, one of them about passed out.

The parents of the two teens did take a part in dealing with the boys and no arrest were made.
