We have pedestrian crossings, and deer crossing, now we have a Zebra crossing.

The Swiss have built the first Zebra crossing I have read about. There may be others, but none that I have seen.

The transportation officials were building a road through a field. On this road there was to be marked out, a zebra crossing.

The road project was canceled but the crossing was already there.

I don’t think they actually were planning on Zebra’s crossing the road at that point.

The crossing was meant for pedestrians and not zebras. With the project being canceled even people had no need of a place to cross the road.

The crossing is set up with yellow lights which blink off and on through the night to warn motorist of the crossing. The thing is, there are no motorist. I guess they can drive to the dead end of the road and stop. That’s as far as it goes.

The crossing has become a bit of an attraction to tourist and others, but no Zebras have been seen crossing it. Maybe a few cows at times.
